​Containing 50 comunes (comuni) Rovigo Province has the city of Rovigo as its provincial capital.  

One of seven provinces in the Veneto region, it has a total population of 234,937 inhabitants and covers a total area of 1,819 km². Aside from Verona itself, some of the highlights of the province include the Po Delta Regional Park.

Rovigo is a province located in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Its history dates back to ancient times when it was inhabited by the Veneti, an ancient Indo-European people.
History
Over the centuries, the region saw various rulers, including the Romans, Goths, Lombards, and Byzantines. During the Middle Ages, Rovigo was part of the powerful Este family's domains, and later it became part of the Republic of Venice. In the 19th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Italy. Today, Rovigo Province is known for its historical heritage, picturesque landscapes, and cultural offerings.
