​The town of Garessio is situated within the Province of Cuneo and has a population of around 3,000 residents.

It stands at an elevation of 621 metres above sea level and is included in the list of Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy). Places of interest nearby include Mondovì, Cuneo, Bene Vagienna and Monforte d'Alba.

Garessio is a charming town located in the province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Situated in the Ligurian Alps, Garessio is surrounded by lush green valleys and picturesque mountains, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. ​
History
Garessio has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was an important crossroads for trade and commerce. Throughout its history, the town experienced periods of prosperity and decline, but it has managed to preserve its unique charm and historical heritage.

In the Middle Ages, Garessio was an important center of the Waldensian religious movement. The town also played a significant role during the Italian Risorgimento, a period of national unification in the 19th century.
