Gressoney-Saint-Jean is a mountain town in the Aosta Valley, located in the upper Lys Valley beneath the southern slopes of Monte Rosa. How to Get to Gressoney-Saint-Jean
By Rail: Gressoney-Saint-Jean does not have its own railway station. The nearest station is in Pont-Saint-Martin, about 28 kilometres away, on the Aosta–Ivrea line operated by Trenitalia. Regional trains connect Pont-Saint-Martin to Aosta in about 50 minutes and to Ivrea in approximately 25 minutes. From Pont-Saint-Martin, Gressoney-Saint-Jean can be reached by car, taxi, or local bus along the SR44 road, which continues through the Gressoney Valley.

By Road: The town is located in the upper section of the Gressoney Valley, surrounded by the peaks of the Monte Rosa massif. From Aosta, the distance is around 70 kilometres, with a driving time of roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Turin, the journey is approximately 100 kilometres and takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes via the A5 motorway, exiting at Pont-Saint-Martin. From Milan, the distance is about 170 kilometres, with a drive of around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Parking is available near the centre and the main ski and hiking areas.
