By Rail: Grinzane Cavour does not have its own train station. The nearest station is in Alba, about 5 kilometres away, on the Alba–Bra line operated by Trenitalia. From Turin, trains to Alba take around 1 hour and 20 minutes with a change at Bra. From Alba, Grinzane Cavour can be reached in about 10 minutes by car or taxi.

By Road: Grinzane Cavour is situated in the Langhe hills, a short distance from Alba. From Alba, the distance is about 5 kilometres, with a driving time of around 10 minutes. From Cuneo, the journey is approximately 55 kilometres and takes about 1 hour. Parking is available near the castle and in small car parks around the village.
