How to Get to Guardialfiera
By Rail: The nearest train station to Guardialfiera is Montenero-Petacciato Station, located around 25 kilometres away. It lies on the Adriatic line operated by Trenitalia, with regular regional services to Termoli in about 20 minutes and Pescara in roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes. From the station, the remainder of the journey to Guardialfiera can be completed by car or local taxi.

By Road: Guardialfiera is located in the province of Campobasso, overlooking the lake of the same name in eastern Molise. From Campobasso, the town is about 45 kilometres away, taking roughly 50 minutes by car via the SS647. From Termoli, it is approximately 35 kilometres with a driving time of around 40 minutes. Parking areas are available near the lake and the town centre.

  • Pescara Abruzzo Airport: Around 125 kilometres north, with a driving time of about 1 hour and 40 minutes via the A14 motorway and SS647. Offers domestic and short-haul European flights.
  • Foggia Gino Lisa Airport: Approximately 90 kilometres south, taking about 1 hour and 20 minutes via the A14. A small regional airport serving limited destinations.
  • Naples Capodichino Airport: Roughly 165 kilometres southwest, with a journey time of about 2 hours and 15 minutes via the SS87 and A1 motorway. The main international gateway for travellers to the region.
