Lake Santa Croce, also known as Lago di Santa Croce, is a stunning artificial lake situated in the Veneto region of northern Italy. History
Lake Santa Croce was created in the early 20th century after the construction of the Santa Croce Dam on the Piave River. The dam was completed in 1930, resulting in the formation of the lake, which is one of the largest artificial lakes in Italy.

The primary purpose of the dam was to control the flow of the Piave River and produce hydroelectric power. Over the years, Lake Santa Croce has become a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors with its natural beauty and opportunities for outdoor activities.
