Three landmarks of Veneto are currently on this list with each one quite different from the others but nevertheless offering the common thread of outstanding architecture.
One of the most quirky sights in the Veneto region is the Santuario Madonna della Corona: a religious sanctuary that seems somehow precariously attached to the side of a rock face. Offering by contrast, clean lines and a sense of regal grandeur is the stately home of Villa Pisani which includes a confusing garden maze among its highlights. |
Making up the list is the Tempio Canoviano which takes the second part of its name from the famous sculptor Antonio Canova, the favourite son of Possagno which is where the beautiful temple is situated.
