The Leaning Bell Tower of Burano forms part of the Chiesa di San Martino Vescovo complex which was built in the 16th century.
One of the most heavily leaning towers in Italy, it shows a difference of around 1.8 metres from its base to its steeple. It reaches a height of 53 metres and was finished in 1714. It's one of the most engaging sights on this pretty island in the Venice Lagoon. |
