The Milazzo to Vulcano ferry times show as many as 21 crossings available per day at the height of summer. Liberty Lines operate the majority of services with their hydrofoils for foot passengers only while Siremar run a maximum of five car ferries per day in summer. 

From the Sicilian mainland port of Milazzo to Vulcano, one of the seven Aeolian Islands, the distance is just 33 kilometres.
