By Rail: Monteverde does not have its own train station, but the nearest one is in Rocchetta Sant’Antonio–Lacedonia, about 15 kilometres away, on the Foggia–Potenza line operated by Trenitalia. Regional trains connect Rocchetta Sant’Antonio–Lacedonia to Foggia in about 1 hour and to Potenza in roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes. From the station, Monteverde can be reached by local bus or taxi, with a journey time of around 20 minutes.
By Road: Monteverde is located in the eastern part of the Irpinia area of Avellino province, near the border with Basilicata. The town is about 70 kilometres east of Avellino and 65 kilometres southwest of Foggia. The drive from Avellino takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes via the SS303 and SS401, while from Foggia it’s around 1 hour via the SS655. The roads are well maintained but winding, and parking is available close to the historic centre.
