The town of Montjovet is situated a distance of 35 kilometres east of Aosta, the regional capital of the Valle d'Aosta. 

​It stands at an elevation of 406 metres above sea level and has a population of around 1,700 residents.

Nearby places of interest include Champdepraz, Verrès Castle, Issogne Castle and Verrès.
