The towns of Valle d'Aosta are typically much smaller than those of the other regions of Italy. The capital of Valle d'Aosta and by far its most populous urban centre is the city of Aosta itself.
Aosta has a population of around 34,000 but the next most populous on the list is Saint-Vincent with just under five thousand inhabitants. Of the remaining towns and villages of similar sizes, some of the prettiest are Morgex with its medieval centre and the attractive town of Chatillon. Also catching the eye are the likes of Aymaville, Avise and Quart. |
