The hill town of Morcone is situated within​ the Province of Benevento, a distance of 122 kilometres north east of Naples, the regional capital of Campania. 

Standing at an elevation of 680 metres above sea level it has a population of around 4,800 residents.

Morcone is a small town located in the province of Benevento, in the Campania region, set among the rolling hills of the Sannio mountains.
