Mural  Towns  of  Sardinia

The mural towns of Sardinia category is a list that captures a relatively modern phenomenon that's becoming increasingly popular throughout Italy. 

Towns such as San Sperate and Orgosolo really lead the way in this with the towns decorated in this interesting and unusual way. The murales as they're known, can either be of a political or simply artistic nature, and the overall effect is spectacular. 

The phenomenon can be found in the towns of Mamoiada and Fonni although still to a lesser extent than the others at this stage.
