Parks  of  Lombardy

The great parks of Lombardy offer a variety of stunning landscapes along with beautiful fauna and flora. The largest and most famous park in Lombardy is the Stelvio National Park which is shared with the Trentino Alto Adige South/Tyrol region.

Stelvio is famous for its endless curves that wind their way to the stunning mountain peak where the two regions meet. The climb is not for the feint-hearted or for vehicles with struggling engines yet attracts courageous cyclists and motorbike enthusiasts. More sedate are the Parco delle Orobie Bergamasche, Mincio Park and the watery surroundings of the Pian di Spagna Nature Reserve.
