Perugia Airport

Situated twelve kilometres to the east of the capital of Umbria lies Perugia Airport. Its official name is the rather long-winded Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi Umbria International Airport and its old name was Perugia Sant'Egidio Airport.
This is the only airport in Umbria and services just a small number of destinations. |

However, of great advantage to visitors from the UK is the Ryanair service from London Stansted which takes two hours and twenty minutes. Ryanair also provide flights between Perugia and Catania in Sicily, the Albanian capital Tirana and Charleroi in Belgium. From 2020 there will also be seasonal services to Vienna in Austria and the dutch city of Rotterdam.
Many passengers arriving at the airport have a rental car waiting for them and most of the main brands are represented here with a rental office, including Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Budget and Sicily by Car.
Public transport is by bus; you can take a bus to the centre of Perugia in just over 25 minutes or head in the opposite direction towards Assisi which takes roughly the same amount of time,
