One of the main destinations for the Perugia Airport Transfers is the Umbrian hill town of Assisi. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's one of the most popular places to visit in the central region of Umbria, of which Perugia is the capital. 

Characterised by its rolling hills, peppered with medieval hill towns, Umbria is a land that's steeped in history. Towns such as Spoleto, Orvieto and Todi lie within its confines while just across the regional border is Tuscany and the town of Cortona. Umbria is land-locked but during the summer you can mess about on the water on Lake Trasimeno which is just to the west of Perugia.
