Pizzighettone is a historic town located in the province of Cremona, Lombardy, situated approximately 20 kilometres southeast of the city of Cremona. Positioned along the banks of the Adda River, Pizzighettone is known for its well-preserved medieval character and historical significance. The town is surrounded by the flat, fertile lands of the Po Valley, with the river providing a scenic and tranquil backdrop to the area. Pizzighettone’s historical centre features charming cobbled streets, traditional stone buildings, and notable landmarks such as its ancient walls and the impressive Porta Milano gate, which are remnants of its fortified past.
