By Rail: Portico di Romagna does not have its own train station. The nearest station is in Forlì, about 35 kilometres away, on the Bologna–Rimini line operated by Trenitalia. From Bologna, the train to Forlì takes around 40 minutes, and from there Portico di Romagna can be reached in about 45 minutes by car or local bus.

By Road: Portico di Romagna is located in the Apennine hills along the SS67 road, between Forlì and Florence. From Forlì, the distance is around 35 kilometres, taking about 45 minutes by car. From Florence, the journey is approximately 90 kilometres and takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Parking is available at the entrance to the village and in small areas close to the centre.
