Reggio Calabria Airport is Calabria's second busiest airport, serving domestic destinations only including Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna and Bergamo. Each year it traffics around 350,000 passengers, a small amount compared to other Italian airports.

For international flights there's Lamezia Terme Airport which is an hour and a half drive away.
However, if you're staying within a short distance of Reggio Calabria then its airport can be advantageous; by flying the short distance to one of Italy's other airports you can then find a connecting flight to every international destination. ​​
