Potenza Province
The Potenza Province occupies a geographical area of 6,594 square kilometres including the city of Potenza itself, the provincial capital and also the capital of the Basilicata region.
Within the province there are 100 provincial towns, known as communes (comune singular or comuni plural in Italian), containing a total population of around 365,000 inhabitants. Among the highlights in the province are the towns of Maratea, Melfi, Castelmezzano and Muro Lucano. |
