Trajan's Arch (Benevento)

The Arco di Traiano or Trajan's Arch in Benevento was built around 114 AD in honour of the Roman Emperor Trajan. It's situated at the edge of the centro storico of Benevento in the region of Campania.
Reaching a height of 15.6 metres, it takes its place in the panoply of sights in this historic city; a short walk from here are the Roman Theatre and the UNESCO World Heritage Santa Sofia Complex. |
