The UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Piedmont include three listings entirely within the region and two which are shared between Piedmont and other Italian regions. The Residences of the Royal House of Savoy is a collection of 13 sites in and around Turin including palaces, stately homes and castles.
Capturing one of the most beautiful aspects of the region is the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont listing while the town of Ivrea earned its inscription for its relationship between industry and society. The Sacri Monti are nine sanctuaries in Piedmont and Lombardy and the final site is the Pile Dwellings around the Alps. |
