​The hill town of Vizzini is situated within​ the Metropolitan City of Catania province, a distance of 254 kilometres south east of Palermo, the regional capital of Sicily. 

Standing at an elevation of 586 metres above sea level it has a population of around 6,000 residents. Nearby places of interest include Buccheri, Monterosso Almo, Ferla, Caltagirone and Ragusa.
