The wine regions of Piedmont include two of the most bucolic landscape areas in Italy. The Monferrato and Langhe regions of Piedmont are included by UNESCO in their World Heritage List under the heading: "Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe Roero and Monferrato".
Both areas are situated across two of Piedmont's provinces: the Langhe is contained within the provinces of Cuneo and Asti, while Monferrato is split between Asti and Alessandria. Between them, the Langhe and Monferrato wine regions provide some of the most attractive options for wine tours and holidays in Piedmont. |
