By Rail: Abetone does not have its own railway station. The nearest stations are in Pistoia (about 45 kilometres away) and Lucca (around 60 kilometres away), both served by Trenitalia. From Pistoia, trains connect to Florence in roughly 40 minutes and to Pisa in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. From either station, Abetone can be reached by car, taxi, or local bus via the SS12 Abetone–Brennero road.
