​The village of Bomba is situated within the Province of Chieti and has a population of 768 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 424 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 17 km². There are two hotels within 10 km while nearby places of interest include Lake Bomba, Roccascalegna, Gessopalena and Casoli.

Bomba is a picturesque town located in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It is a small hilltop village surrounded by beautiful landscapes and historical charm. ​
History
Bomba has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. It was originally settled by the Samnites, an ancient Italic people, and later became a Roman colony.

The town's name is believed to have originated from the Latin word "Bombum," meaning "a deep hollow" or "a cavity." Throughout its history, Bomba has seen various rulers, including the Lombards and Normans, before becoming part of the Kingdom of Naples.
