Pretty  Villages  of  Abruzzo

There are dozens of ​pretty villages of Abruzzo and it's impossible to include them all but here's a selection of some of the best.

Most of the villages below are situated in Abruzzo's more mountainous areas and tend to have very small populations. They can be perched at the top of a hill or close to a lake but the most common thread among them all is their eye-catching beauty. ​

Highlights among this collection include the village of Calascio which lies at the foot of the famous Rocca Calascio, while Farindola and the wonderfully-named Bomba offer their own charms.
