​​​The ski resort of Bormio is situated in the Province of Sondrio. It stands at an elevation of 1,225 metres above sea level and has a population of around 4,000 residents.

​Places of interest nearby include the Stelvio National Park, the mountain towns of Livigno, Tirano and Vezza d'Oglio, while the recommended accommodation is the Miramonti Park Hotel.

History
Bormio's history dates back to ancient times when it was a settlement of the Celts and later came under Roman rule. Its strategic location in the Alps made it a significant trading post along the ancient routes connecting Italy with Northern Europe.

​Over the centuries, Bormio was ruled by various noble families, including the Visconti and the Grisons. Its historical heritage is evident in the town's architecture, with well-preserved buildings and traditional alpine charm.
