Capo Testa is a coastal area of outstanding natural beauty situated in the Sassari Province of Sardinia. A small peninsula consisting of several beaches includes highlights such as the Valle della Luna or Moon Valley, which is a hippy favourite and Zia Culumba beach. 

Just five kilometres away is the seaside town of Santa Teresa Gallura and the whole area is full of spectacular beaches.

Capo Testa is a beautiful headland located on the northern coast of the Italian island of Sardinia. It is renowned for its unique rock formations, crystal-clear waters, and stunning coastal views. ​
History
Capo Testa has a rich historical significance, with evidence of ancient human settlements dating back to prehistoric times. The area is dotted with nuraghe (ancient stone structures), ancient tombs, and ruins from various civilizations that once inhabited Sardinia, including the Nuragic, Phoenician, and Roman civilizations.

In more recent history, the headland was used as a strategic defense point during World War II due to its prominent location overlooking the sea.

  • Location: Capo Testa is located at the northernmost tip of Sardinia, near the town of Santa Teresa Gallura. It is part of the province of Olbia-Tempio.
  • Rock Formations: One of the main attractions of Capo Testa is its impressive granite rock formations, shaped by wind and sea erosion over thousands of years. The most famous formations are the "Valley of the Moon" and the "Mouth of the Moon," where visitors can explore unique natural caves and arches.
  • Beaches: Capo Testa boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. Among them are Rena di Ponente and Rena di Levante, both with fine white sand and clear turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
