The historic town of Casale Monferrato is situated within the Province of Alessandria and has a population of 34,812. 

Standing at an elevation of 116 metres above sea level, it's located a distance of 80 kilometres east of Turin, the regional capital of Piedmont. Places of interest nearby include Rosignano Monferrato, Ozzano Monferrato and Treville.

Casale Monferrato is a charming town located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. The town's name "Casale" means "farmhouse" in Italian, indicating its agricultural roots.
History
It was originally a Roman settlement and later became a significant center during the Middle Ages, particularly under the rule of the Paleologi family, who made it the capital of the Marquisate of Monferrato in the 14th century.

Throughout its history, Casale Monferrato experienced periods of prosperity, artistic and cultural development, and political influence. However, it was also subject to various struggles and changes in ruling families, including the Gonzagas, Savoys, and French forces. The town became part of the Kingdom of Italy in the 19th century.
