The Castello Odescalchi sits in a commanding position overlooking Lake Bracciano in the central Italian region of Lazio. Sometimes referred to as Castello Orisini-Odescalchi, it has been used as both a defensive structure and a residential palace for noble families.
Famous family names to have lived there include the Orsini and the Borgias while in modern times it's been a venue for VIP weddings. |

The fifteenth century castle is the main sight in the town of Bracciano which overlooks the eponymous lake. A small borgo separates the castle from the main town area where there are a small number of bars and restaurants. Further around the lake the main town in terms of tourism is Trevignano Romano with a third town, Anguillara Sabazia also meritorious of a visit.
