The lakeside town of Bracciano is situated in the Metropolitan City of Rome, on the shores of Lake Bracciano. It has a population of around 19,000 residents and is located 46 kilometres north-west of Rome, the regional capital of Lazio.

The most famous sight in Bracciano is the Castello Odescalchi which was built in the 15th century and now hosts VIP weddings. 
Bracciano is one of three main towns around the eponymous lake and the one with the largest population. The other two main towns are Trevignano Romano and Anguillara Sabazia.

History
Bracciano has ancient origins, dating back to Etruscan times when it was known as "Brecsianum." During the Middle Ages, the town developed as a fortified center, and its strategic location made it an important stronghold for various noble families, including the Orsini and the Borgia.

One of the most iconic landmarks of Bracciano is the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a medieval castle built in the 15th century, which still stands as an impressive symbol of the town's history.
