The nearest stations are in Pomarance (about 15 kilometres away) and Cecina (around 40 kilometres away), both served by Trenitalia. Trains from Cecina connect to Pisa in approximately 1 hour and to Grosseto in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. From either station, Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina can be reached by car, taxi, or local bus via the SR439 road.

By Road: The town is located in southern Tuscany, within the Metalliferous Hills, roughly midway between Volterra and Massa Marittima. From Pisa, the distance is about 95 kilometres, with a driving time of around 1 hour and 40 minutes via the SS1 Aurelia and SR439 roads. From Florence, the journey is approximately 105 kilometres and takes about 2 hours, while from Grosseto it is around 85 kilometres, with a drive of about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Parking is available near the town centre and along the approach roads.
