The village of Cavo is situated at the north-eastern tip of Elba, the main island of the Tuscan Archipelago. The geographical location of Cavo is such that its port is the closest to the Italian mainland.
You can sail by Toremar hydrofoil to the port of Piombino on the Tuscan mainland in just 20 minutes as opposed to the 40 minute hydrofoil journey between the capital Portoferraio and Piombino. |
