The Chiesa di San Maurizio Maggiore al Monastero is one of the most surprising churches in Milan. It's somehow crept under the radar of typical tourist itineraries and although its exterior seen from Corso Magenta is fairly modest, its interior is breathtaking.
Originally a Benedictine convent, it was consecrated in 1518 and its interior walls are covered in a series of 16th century frescoes |
