History
Cison di Valmarino has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was a settlement along the ancient trade routes. Throughout history, the village was influenced by various ruling families, including the Venetian Republic.

During the Middle Ages, Cison di Valmarino became a fortified center, and its castle and defensive walls were constructed. The village prospered through agriculture, especially the production of wine and olive oil.
