The region of Veneto's Borghi Più Belli d'Italia are a selection of small towns of villages which have been deemed "Italy's Most Beautiful Villages" and represent some of the prettiest locations in the whole region. These are often places in Veneto which are largely untouched by tourism and provide a real glimpse of genuine Italian life as it is today but with a firm foothold still in the past.
Highlights on the list include pretty Borghetto, a tiny village on the water while Arquà Petrarca takes the second part of its name from the Renaissance poet Petrarch who once lived there. Further gems in the collection include Asolo, Follina and Cison di Valmarino. |
