Colorno is a charming town located in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Situated along the banks of the Po River, Colorno offers a rich historical heritage, beautiful landscapes, and a variety of cultural attractions. ​
 History
Colorno's history dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlements in the area since Roman eras. However, the town's modern significance stems from the 18th century when it became the residence of the Bourbon-Parma family. The Palazzo Ducale di Colorno, a magnificent palace built in the late 18th century, served as the residence of the Dukes of Parma and Piacenza.

The palace's grandeur and architectural beauty earned it the nickname "Little Versailles." Over the years, Colorno was ruled by various noble families, including the Farnese and the Bourbons. Today, the Palazzo Ducale remains one of the main attractions of Colorno, reflecting its historical prominence.
