The dozen villages that make up Friuli Venezia Giulia's Borghi Più Belli d'Italia each provide their own unique charms and attraction.

The Borghi Più Belli d'Italia is an association which showcases some of the lesser-known but fascinating smaller villages all across Italy. There's no definitive criteria set for inclusion on the list, but generally-speaking, the entrants are either small villages, hill towns or historic neighbourhoods within a larger town.

In the case of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the towns and villages range from historic Palmanova to the sprawling landscapes of Sappada.
