Scenic  Towns  of  Friuli  Venezia  Giulia

The most scenic towns of Friuli Venezia Giulia capture the region's fascinating history, architectural style and natural beauty.

Perhaps the town where each of those characteristics is represented the most is Cividale del Friuli. It's included in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the Longobards: Places of the Power (568 - 774 AD) listing and has some beautiful medieval architecture in its historic centre. Moreover, the River Natisone gracefully flows through the middle of it, thus representing the beauty of nature. Aesthetic charms are also on full display in the historic towns of Spilimbergo, Sacile and San Daniele del Friuli.
