The hill town of Genga is situated within the Province of Ancona. It has a population of around 1,700 inhabitants and stands at an elevation of 320 metres above sea level.

Genga is a small town located in the province of Ancona, in the central part of the Marche region. Nestled at the foot of the Apennine Mountains, Genga is surrounded by lush forests and dramatic hills, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The town is particularly well known for its natural attractions, with the nearby Frasassi Caves being one of the region’s most impressive sights, drawing visitors from all over for its extraordinary underground formations.

The town itself is a quaint, traditional settlement, with stone buildings and narrow streets that reflect its medieval roots. Genga is home to the Church of San Vittore, which holds religious significance, as well as several other historic buildings that offer a glimpse into the town's past.
