The Grazzano Visconti castle is situated in the Province of Piacenza in the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna. The castle belongs to the Comune of Vigolzone.

The castle was originally built in 1395 but when you visit these days, you'll find something a little different; more of a medieval theme park with shops and restaurants than a castle.

History
Grazzano Visconti was created in the late 19th century by Duke Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone, who aimed to recreate a medieval village to evoke a sense of nostalgia and romanticism.

​The duke was inspired by the historical Visconti family, a prominent Italian noble family that played a significant role in the Middle Ages. He meticulously designed the village with a mix of medieval and romantic architectural elements, creating a fairytale-like ambiance.
