Toblacher See, also known as Lake Dobbiaco in Italian, is a beautiful alpine lake located in the Val Pusteria (Pustertal) valley of South Tyrol (Alto Adige) in northern Italy. The lake is situated near the charming village of Dobbiaco (Toblach) and is surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Dolomites, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
History
Toblacher See is a natural glacial lake that was formed during the last Ice Age. The lake has a rich history, and the area around it has been inhabited since ancient times.

​The region has been influenced by various cultures, including the Rhaetians, Romans, and Bavarians, all of whom have left their mark on the local heritage. Today, the lake and its surroundings are protected as part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.
