The seaside town of Lerici is situated on the Riviera di Levante in the Province of La Spezia.

It has a population of 10,053 inhabitants and is located 110 kilometres south east of Genoa, the regional capital of Liguria. The town has 17 hotels while nearby places of interest include San Terenzo, Fiascherino, Tellaro, Montemarcello​ and Sarzana.

Lerici is a picturesque coastal town located in the Liguria region of northern Italy. Nestled on the eastern part of the Italian Riviera, Lerici is known for its stunning natural beauty, charming medieval architecture, and breathtaking views of the Gulf of La Spezia (also known as the Gulf of Poets).

History
Lerici's history dates back to ancient times, with evidence of Etruscan and Roman settlements in the area. During the Middle Ages, the town became a strategic fortress under the control of the Republic of Genoa. Its defensive fortress, the Castle of Lerici, played a crucial role in protecting the territory and controlling maritime trade in the Gulf.

Over the centuries, the town changed hands between various rulers, including the Malaspina family and the Republic of Florence. Today, Lerici's rich history is evident in its well-preserved historic center and architectural landmarks.
