​The town of Limosano is situated within the Province of Campobasso and has a population of 718 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 586 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 28 km². The town has one hotel while nearby places of interest include Sant'Angelo Limosano, Oratino and Bagnoli del Trigno.
