By Road: Monasterace is situated on the Ionian coast of Calabria, about 80 kilometres south of Catanzaro. The drive takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes via the SS106. From Reggio Calabria, the distance is approximately 115 kilometres, with a journey time of about 2 hours along the same coastal route. The town is easily reached from the SS106 highway, and parking is available both near the seafront and in the upper town.
