Oliveri is a charming coastal town located in the province of Messina in Sicily, Italy. Situated on the northern coast of the island, Oliveri offers visitors a perfect blend of historical heritage, natural beauty, and a relaxing seaside atmosphere.
History
The history of Oliveri dates back to ancient times when it was originally settled by the Sicels, an ancient indigenous population of Sicily. Later, it came under the influence of various civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Normans.

During the Byzantine and Norman periods, the town became an important center for the cultivation of olives and other agricultural activities, which are said to have inspired its name "Oliveri."

Over the centuries, Oliveri has experienced different rulers, and its historical significance is evident in the architecture and cultural heritage that can still be seen today.
