Orange  Flag  Towns  of  Sardinia

The two Orange Flag towns of Sardinia have both been awarded the Bandiera Arancione by the Touring Club Italiano association. 

Most of the twenty regions of Italy have a number of these towns with the Bandiera Arancione or "Orange Flag" used to promote places that aren't necessarily on the typical tourist trail. 

To earn the award towns have to demonstrate a certain level of environmental awareness, good facilities for tourists and of course an aesthetic charm with places of interest to visit. The Sardinia list includes the hill town of Aggius and the historic Tempio Pausania.
