​The town of Pescina is situated within the Province of l'Aquila and has a population of 3,987 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 735 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 37 km². There is one hotel in the town centre  while nearby places of interest include Anversa degli Abruzzi, Celano and Avezzano.
